American taxpayers are continuing to money border security steps and border walls in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, and Lebanon with President Trump’s signing of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spending bill.
While the United States-Mexico border received just $1.3 billion for construction of a border wall at the overwhelmed southern border with soaring unlawful migration, foreign nations are getting help from American taxpayers to protect their borders.
The Republican-Democrat costs expense signed by Trump last week supplies Pakistan with at least $15 million in U.S. taxpayer cash for “border security programs” along with financing for “cross border stabilization” in between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In total, the spending costs supplies about $6 billion in American taxpayer cash to finance foreign militaries, some of which can be utilized by Lebanon to “enhance border security and battle terrorism.”
The spending costs provides about $1125 million in U.S. taxpayer money for economic assistance for Egypt, consisting of $10 million for scholarships for Egyptian trainees. Egypt’s military receives about $1.3 billion in the costs expense, some of which can be for border security programs.
Furthermore, the costs bill consists of:
- An expansion of Catch and Release
- A possible doubling of the annual low-skilled foreign workers imported to the U.S.
- Less detention space for border crossers
- The amnesty pipeline for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) and their loved ones
- Specifications requiring local authorities to approve all wall construction
- Chokeholds on immigration enforcement at the border and in the interior
On the other hand, unlawful immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border has swelled in current months. In December 2018, the last month for illegal border crossing overalls, there were close to 51,000 border crossings. The month previously, there were nearly 52,000 border crossings. Experts job there to be a minimum of 606,000 crossings this year at the southern border, a level of unlawful migration that exceeds nearly every year of illegal immigration under President Obama.
