Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Tuesday evening stated it is “criminal” for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to close down the government and block the paychecks of federal employees due to the fact that “he wishes to look like a male.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on Instagram Live and stated, of the federal government shutdown, “frankly a lot of this is on McConnell” due to the fact that “it’s not like they’re voting [appropriations bills] down.” She ripped McConnell for “blocking this whole procedure” and “sitting on appropriations bill after appropriations bills”

McConnell, saying that border security has taken “a back seat to the political impulses of the far left,” has highlighted that he will not bring up “reveal votes” that do not “lead to a result” while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) refuses to even work out with Trump on the border wall.

” To rest on millions of dollars and fly on private jets while you are blocking the incomes of 800,000 individuals is just criminal and, honestly, I wouldn’t desire that karma on my head because that is a dreadful, dreadful thing to do,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Later on, Ocasio-Cortez said the federal government is closed down because “Mitch McConnell wishes to look like a man or Trump needs to look like a male.”

Ocasio-Cortez likewise wondered how Trump and McConnell have so much power.

” You have to question how these individuals have this much power to begin with because this is ridiculous,” she stated.

The freshman Democrat stated though she wants her Green New Offer, single-payer healthcare, and more criminal justice reform, she would “never informed TSA workers’ paychecks hostage” for policies she wants.

Ocasio-Cortez also said that some Republican Senators are all set to re-open the government, echoing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) idea that a few of the appropriations bills might receive a “veto-proof” bulk in the Senate.
