Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) was “brave” for concluding President Donald Trump devoted “impeachable conduct.”

Romney said, “I believe every individual needs to make their own judgment. I think it helps to in fact have actually read the entire file. It’s a long file. It took me two full days to survive it. The second volume is more challenging to get through than the very first. Hopefully, more people read it. I believe a great deal of people desire to reserve judgment till this is played out. My own view is that Justin Amash has actually reached a various conclusion than I have. I appreciate him. I think it’s a bold statement. However I think to make a case for obstruction of justice, you just do not have the aspects that are evidenced in this document. And I likewise believe that an impeachment call is something that not just associates with the law however thinks about usefulness and politics. I think those thinking about impeachment, you have to look at the jury, which is the Senate. The Senate is certainly not there either.”
