Michael Cohen, the previous personal legal representative of President Donald Trump, has reached a brand-new plea agreement with unique counsel Robert Mueller and will plead guilty for lying to congressional committees as part of their investigation into possible collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential project and Russia, according to reports.
Cohen is pleading guilty to lying to Congress about work he carried out on a Trump-releated realty offer in Russia. The former Trump lawyer made a surprise look Thursday in a New york city courtroom at around 9 p.m. regional time and started getting in the plea. Cohen confessed to making incorrect declarations in 2017 to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence about a plan to construct a Trump Tower in Moscow. One of the district attorneys dealing with Unique Counsel Robert Mueller existed in the courtroom. Cohen’s lawyer, Guy Petrillo, verified to the judge that the plea deal included cooperation with Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the U.S. election. Cohen and Petrillo were mobbed by members of journalism as they made there escape of the courthouse and into a waiting automobile.

[Cohen] said on Thursday that Trump continued trying to develop a tower in Russia months into his campaign for the United States presidency.
Cohen made the explosive allegation, which straight contradicts previous statements by him and Trump, while pleading guilty to lying to Congress in a purposeful attempt to hinder theTrump-Russia investigation.
Cohen said that efforts to construct a Trump home in Moscow, the Russian capital, actually continued till June 2016– several months more than he has stated formerly. By that time, Trump was the presumptive Republican presidential candidate.
