AOC, as she’s better known, today exists mainly in front of the cams. In a couple of months she’s gone from an unknown New York bartender to the democratic socialist darling of the left and its media hordes. Her megaphone is so loud that she measures up to Speaker Nancy Pelosi as the face of the Democratic Party.

Republicans do not know whether to applaud or laugh. A lot of do both.

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a freight train gaining speed day by day– and assisting Republican politicians with every passing minute.

For them, what’s not to love? She’s triggered a fratricidal war on the left, with her chief of personnel, Saikat Chakrabarti, today slamming the “radical conservatives” among the Democrats holding the celebration “hostage.” She’s made pals with Jeremy Corbyn, leader of Britain’s Labour Party, who has been implicated of anti-Semitism. She’s called the American system of wealth production “immoral” and believes federal government has a responsibility to supply “financial security” to individuals who are “unwilling to work.” As a representative of New York, she’s making California look sensible.

On Thursday Ms. Ocasio-Cortez unveiled her vaunted Green New Offer, total with the details of how Democrats prepare to reach environment nirvana in a simple 10 years. It was available in the kind of a resolution, sponsored in the Senate by Massachusetts’ Edward Markey, on which AOC is figured out to require a capacity vote.
