Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) on Friday defended Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s allegation that Pelosi was “singling out” Democrat women of color.

” Look, I think she is strong and wise as anything, she’s so clever, and strong. And the important things I truly like about her is that she needs people to question the premise. Like she doesn’t let, she’s not going to choose status quo because that’s the way it’s constantly been done, she concerns,” Harris said.

” And I think that’s healthy,” she included. “I think that when you have anyone who is as clever and as bold as her questioning the system and doing it in such an effective method, it can start to throw individuals off their video game.”

Since Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks, black legislators have actually come out to safeguard Pelosi.
