President Donald Trump revealed his disappointment with Republican congressional management on Thursday for breaking their promise to eliminate for wall financing.
The president remembered his hesitant choice to sign the $1.3 trillion omnibus costs bill in March.
” When I begrudgingly signed the Omnibus Expense, I was assured the Wall and Border Security by management,” Trump composed on Twitter. “It didn’t occur!”
Home Speaker Paul Ryan canceled a House Republican politician press conference on Thursday after fulfilling privately with Republican members of Congress and consulting with President Trump on the phone previously in the morning.
The president did not openly comment on the existing short-term continuing resolution expense gone by the Senate on Wednesday night to fund the government till February, but he did grumble that Congress was moneying border security in other countries.
” We foolishly defend Border Security for other countries– however not for our precious U.S.A.” he wrote. “Bad!”
Senators on Wednesday revealed self-confidence that Trump would sign a short-term funding extension, but the president is feeling heavy pressure from his base and prominent conservatives.
The continuing resolution procedure is presently waiting for passage in the Home of Representatives.
