President Donald Trump welcomed the Clemson college football team to the White House on Monday, serving them a spread of junk food for the evening.

The president invited the gamers to the White House to celebrate their champion triumph versus the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Trump paid to have the event catered at the White Home with some of America’s a lot of recognizable fast food options. He explained that it was “excellent American food.”

Stacks of McDonald’s Huge Macs, Quarter Pounders, and Filet O’ Fish sandwiches were found on the tables as well as salads and Wendy’s burgers and salads and Domino’s pizzas. The tables were lit with white candle lights in candlesticks.

” I like it all. I like everything. It’s all great things, fantastic American food. And it’s going to be extremely intriguing to see at the end of this evening how numerous are left,” Trump said, keeping in mind that there were at least 300 hamburgers purchased for the celebration.

Some of the players whooped when the saw the spread in the White Home dining space.

Other Clemson coaches and players shared pictures of the governmental fast food delight in social networks.

The group made the journey regardless of a heavy snowstorm in Washington, DC, over the weekend.

Update:White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley provided the following statement to CNN: “The President desired to host a fun event to commemorate the College Football National Champ Clemson Tigers. Because the Democrats refuse to negotiate on border security, much of the home staff at the White House is furloughed– so the President is personally spending for the occasion to be catered with some of everyone’s preferred quick foods.”

In a video recorded by one Yahoo News’ White House Reporter, Trump described that the junk food spread was “since of the shutdown.”

Since of the shutdown, you understand we have the excellent Clemson team with us, the nationwide champions,” he said. “So we went out and we ordered American fast food, paid for by me.”
