Democratic presidential prospect Andrew Yang is breaking with his primary competitors who say they would support a DOJ examination into whether President Trump obstructed justice if they win the White House in 2020.
” If you take a look around the world, one pattern that America must seek to avoid is prosecuting past leaders and presidents and imprisoning them,” Yang informed Fox News on Thursday. “That’s something that America has never ever fallen under which’s the way I would hope that we continue with me in the White House.”
The New york city City entrepreneur — whose campaign platform includes giving each adult American $1,000 a month as a part of a universal standard income– made the remarks while campaigning in New Hampshire, the state that holds the first main in the race for the White House.
HARRIS SAYS IF ELECTED, SHE ‘D ASSISTANCE A DOJ EXAMINATION INTO TRUMP
California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris, a rival for the nomination, stated this week she believes the only reason Unique Counsel Robert Mueller didn’t suggest prosecuting Trump was since of the Justice Department’s policy versus prosecuting a sitting president.
